6. Moonlit Stranger

The sky is dark and the clouds are rolling past the dull moon. I’m all alone, standing barefoot and confused, in a white dress.

“Come forward, young one,” says a grizzly voice. I look around for the source of the voice and see a man, dressed in loose white shirt and pants, similar to my dress.

“Who are you?” I ask.

“Come forward, young one,” he repeats.

“Not until you tell me who you are,” I respond.

“Come forward, young one and you will find what you seek.”

“What I seek?”

He reaches out his pale hand to me. I cautiously move toward him as he stays where he is, watching my every step, his hand outstretched. As I stand right before him, his black eyes stare down at me.

“Who are you?” I ask once more. He grins and grabs my hand.

Everything goes cold and white.
